This will be my 14th year at camp and my 2nd year as Assistant Director. This camp has opened my eyes to my calling, which is to help the hurting children in our community. Every child that comes to Royal Family KIDS Camp has experienced trauma in their young lives, many times resulting in them going into the foster care system. A week at camp offers them five days of enjoying childhood, trying new things, experiencing positive relationships with caring adults, and learning about their Father who loves them unconditionally. After camp they have a chance to join the mentoring program, where those same caring adults can continually feed love and support into them. This camp is considered a missions trip and takes a lot of money to put on. With both Dustin and I going, we aim to provide $500 each to help cover our costs.
